Noise Pollution

 Noise Pollution

Noise pollution is used to define on undesirable and unwanted sound. Noise pollution is more prominent in urban areas as compared to rural areas.

Whenever the sound level exceeds the permissible limit (above 70 to 75 dB) it is called noise pollution. It's severe effects on human health are sleeplessness, lack of concentration and performance degradation, stress, cardiovascular disease etc.

It disturbs the environment and scares away animals and birds from a particular area, disturbing the ecological balance. It may excuse serious health issues including hearing loss and mental disturbances.

There is a need to take collective measures for minimizing the effects of noise pollution .
